Plans, plans and more plans
If it doesn't snow too much, this weekend we are building a PVC frame to hang a tarp on. I'm taking my new Sailrite Ultrafeed down to the club and we're going to sew it into the correct shape (hopefully). If I have time I want to put some covered screen vents on and maybe a door. Let's see if the execution can keep up with the idea . . .

Please keep it up, I have a G26 myself, and I am starting work on it this spring (purchased last fall) I hope to be in the water this spring, and from there i can continue to do work. I am enjoying your pics, and reading your approach to the boat. I am in S. Ontario - right near where the boats were originally made.
ReplyDeleteGreetings... My name is Chris and I have had my Grampian 26, Scrimshaw II, nearby to you (I think) in Edgewater, MD, for almost 8 years. The last time I had her assessed, the shipwright said she was "long in the tooth" and that I could spend "a lot of time sailing her, or repairing her." It's been a little of both, but I never have had her repaired to where I've wanted, but... anyhow, I saw that Don Casey just came out with a new edition of the bible, "This Old Boat." I think it was written for you and me. My wife is about to give birth to our first child, a son, in a month - I'll see what the future holds for the Scrimmy. I'd love to see more posts and pics. Keep up the good work and the adventures. Would enjoy chatting some time. Spring is here and good sailing weather to come.
